About Us
Our Legacy
Templetons was formed in 1982 to provide life, disability and income protection advice. One reason the group chose the name “Templetons” was co-founder Bob Templeton’s reputation as a well-known Australian sporting identity and as a respected business leader in Queensland and New South Wales. Over the years Templetons expanded it’s offering to advise on insurance, investments, superannuation, lending and corporate financial wellness. It is a multi-award winning practice, with a passion for looking after clients. Templetons Group, representing the next evolution of high quality financial advice with an experienced team, is set to continue to build on the legacy that commenced over 40 years ago.

Our Investment Philosophy
To support our goals-based advice we choose to partner with external investment experts as it will result in better outcomes for our clients, responding efficiently and effectively to any market conditions. With external investment partners, we can then focus on working closer with our clients ensuring they achieve all that’s important to them.
Our application of investment solutions and portfolio construction is underpinned by four key principles.
Environmental Social Governance
We endorse portfolios guided by ESG principles, wherein investments are directed towards reputable companies exhibiting strong ESG practices, delivering sustainable, long-term returns.
Core-satellite investment approach
Combines the benefits of passive funds, such as lower fees, broader diversification and lower volatility – with the dynamic elements of active investments offering the potential of outperformance
Tax-loss Harvesting
Concentrating on strategies geared towards optimising tax outcomes. In turn, enhancing your financial position and accelerating the progress towards achieving meaningful financial objectives.
Diversification
A holistic diversified approach to portfolio construction and asset classes by taking into account ALL investment assets owned. This mitigates investment risk and aims to achieve smoother returns.
